Blessed is the man who perseveres in temptation, for when he has been proved he will receive the crown of life that he promised to those who love him.

The God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory through Christ [Jesus] will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you after you have suffered a little.

Do not be afraid of anything that you are going to suffer. Indeed, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, because “the Lord is compassionate and merciful.”

We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.

You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved.

Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.

But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them,

From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance. Paul’s Loneliness.

Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?

And when the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. Advice to the Community.

But as it is written: “What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him,”

Remember how for these forty years the Lord, your God, has directed all your journeying in the wilderness, so as to test you by affliction, to know what was in your heart: to keep his commandments, or not.

The crucible for silver, and the furnace for gold, but the tester of hearts is the Lord.

I will bring the one third through the fire; I will refine them as one refines silver, and I will test them as one tests gold. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them; I will say, “They are my people,” and they will say, “The Lord is my God.”

Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I hold to your promise.

By faith Abraham, when put to the test, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was ready to offer his only son,

I know, Lord, that your judgments are righteous; though you afflict me, you are faithful.

We love because he first loved us.

Would that you might meet us doing right, that we might be mindful of you in our ways! Indeed, you are angry; we have sinned, we have acted wickedly.

Declare them guilty, God; make them fall by their own devices. Drive them out for their many sins; for they have rebelled against you.

but showing love down to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.

You have also forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons: “My son, do not disdain the discipline of the Lord or lose heart when reproved by him;

Happy the one whom God reproves! The Almighty’s discipline do not reject.

Blessed the one whom you guide, Lord, whom you teach by your instruction,

The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, hates those who love violence,

Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.

and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope,

Be eager to present yourself as acceptable to God, a workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation.

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
