What will you do on the festival day, the day of the Lord’s feast?
What will you do on the day of punishment, when the storm comes from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth,
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests teach on their own authority; Yet my people like it this way; what will you do when the end comes?
Therefore I will take back my grain in its time, and my wine in its season; I will snatch away my wool and my flax, which were to cover her nakedness.
Gird yourselves and lament, you priests! wail, ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth, ministers of my God! For the grain offering and the libation are withheld from the house of your God.
