Genesis 25:11

After the death of Abraham, God blessed his son Isaac, who lived near Beer-lahai-roi. Descendants of Ishmael.

I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. All the families of the earth will find blessing in you.

That is why the well is called Beer-lahai-roi. It is between Kadesh and Bered.

God replied: Even so, your wife Sarah is to bear you a son, and you shall call him Isaac. It is with him that I will maintain my covenant as an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him.

I will bless you and make your descendants as countless as the stars of the sky and the sands of the seashore; your descendants will take possession of the gates of their enemies,

“The Lord has blessed my master so abundantly that he has become wealthy; he has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male and female slaves, and camels and donkeys.

Meanwhile Isaac had gone from Beer-lahai-roi and was living in the region of the Negeb.

Isaac sowed a crop in that region and reaped a hundredfold the same year. Since the Lord blessed him,

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I will give all these lands, in fulfillment of the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.

Joseph said to his brothers: “I am about to die. God will surely take care of you and lead you up from this land to the land that he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

His descendants shall be mighty in the land, a generation of the upright will be blessed.
