Who would ever have told Abraham,” she added, “that Sarah would nurse children! Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Abraham fell face down and laughed as he said to himself, “Can a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Can Sarah give birth at ninety?”

But the Lord said to Abraham: “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really bear a child, old as I am?’

The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great banquet on the day of the child’s weaning.

Tahpenes’ sister bore Hadad a son, Genubath. Tahpenes weaned him in Pharaoh’s palace. And Genubath lived in Pharaoh’s house, with Pharaoh’s own sons.

I rose in the morning to nurse my son, and he was dead! But when I examined him in the morning light, I saw it was not the son I had borne.”

No, there is no augury against Jacob, nor divination against Israel. Now it is said of Jacob, of Israel, “Look what God has done!”

so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the principalities and authorities in the heavens.

when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and to be marveled at on that day among all who have believed, for our testimony to you was believed. Prayer.
