The Lord took note of Sarah as he had said he would; the Lord did for her as he had promised.

Sarah became pregnant and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time that God had stated.

Why was no one there when I came? Why did no one answer when I called? Is my hand too short to ransom? Have I not the strength to deliver? See, with my rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into wilderness; Their fish rot for lack of water, and die of thirst.

the king rose very early the next morning and hastened to the lions’ den.

An angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her: Though you are barren and have had no children, you will conceive and bear a son.
