The glory of the Lord settled upon Mount Sinai. The cloud covered it for six days, and on the seventh day he called to Moses from the midst of the cloud.

From the pillar of cloud he spoke to them; they kept his decrees, the law he had given them.

Just like the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day so was the appearance of brilliance that surrounded him. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speak.

Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting. On coming out they blessed the people. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.

Moses said, “This is what the Lord orders you to do, that the glory of the Lord may appear to you.

The whole community threatened to stone them. But the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the Israelites.

For God who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to bring to light the knowledge of the glory of God on the face of [Jesus] Christ. The Paradox of the Ministry.
