The locusts came up over the whole land of Egypt and settled down over all its territory. Never before had there been such a fierce swarm of locusts, nor will there ever be again.

“If there is famine in the land or pestilence; or if blight comes, or mildew, or locusts, or caterpillars; if an enemy of your people presses upon them in the land and at their gates; whatever plague or sickness there may be;

He gave their harvest to the caterpillar, the fruits of their labor to the locust.

Then there will be loud wailing throughout the land of Egypt, such as has never been, nor will ever be again.

At this time tomorrow, therefore, I am going to rain down such fierce hail as there has never been in Egypt from the day it was founded up to the present.

Locusts—they have no king, yet they march forth in formation;

It has stripped bare my vines, splintered my fig tree, Shearing off its bark and throwing it away, until its branches turn white.

Though you take out seed to your field, you will harvest but little, for the locusts will devour it.

Buzzing insects will take possession of all your trees and the crops of your soil.
