You shall not have other gods beside me.

At this, Jesus said to him, “Get away, Satan! It is written: ‘The Lord, your God, shall you worship and him alone shall you serve.’”

Children, be on your guard against idols.

so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

‘Listen, my people, I will testify against you Selah If only you will listen to me, Israel!

You shall not go after other gods, any of the gods of the surrounding peoples—

But be careful lest your heart be so lured away that you serve other gods and bow down to them.

There shall be no foreign god among you; you shall not bow down to an alien god.
