You may press a foreigner, but you shall remit the claim on what your kin owes to you.

You shall not demand interest from your kindred on a loan of money or of food or of anything else which is loaned.

So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith. Final Appeal.

A slave does not remain in a household forever, but a son always remains.

If you take your neighbor’s cloak as a pledge, you shall return it to him before sunset;

and this is the manner of the remission. Creditors shall remit all claims on loans made to a neighbor, not pressing the neighbor, one who is kin, because the Lord’s remission has been proclaimed.

From a foreigner you may demand interest, but you may not demand interest from your kindred, so that the Lord, your God, may bless you in all your undertakings on the land you are to enter and possess.
