Those among you who belong to any part of his people, may their God be with them! Let them go up to Jerusalem in Judah to build the house of the Lord the God of Israel, that is, the God who is in Jerusalem.

I, Artaxerxes the king, issue this decree to all the treasurers of West-of-Euphrates: Whatever Ezra the priest, scribe of the law of the God of heaven, requests of you, let it be done with all diligence,

My flesh shudders with dread of you; I fear your judgments.

The Lord shall reign forever, your God, Zion, through all generations! Hallelujah!

Serve the Lord with fear; exult with trembling, Accept correction lest he become angry and you perish along the way when his anger suddenly blazes up. Blessed are all who take refuge in him!

In the lifetime of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people; rather, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and put an end to them, and it shall stand forever.

For we have sinned and transgressed by departing from you, and we have done every kind of evil.

So I issued a decree that all the wise men of Babylon should be brought before me to give the interpretation of the dream.

Now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, all of whose works are right and ways just; and who is able to humble those who walk in pride.

the king rose very early the next morning and hastened to the lions’ den.

He received dominion, splendor, and kingship; all nations, peoples and tongues will serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not pass away, his kingship, one that shall not be destroyed.

Then the kingship and dominion and majesty of all the kingdoms under the heavens shall be given to the people of the holy ones of the Most High, Whose kingship shall be an everlasting kingship, whom all dominions shall serve and obey.”

For I, the Lord, do not change, and you, sons of Jacob, do not cease to be.

and do not subject us to the final test, but deliver us from the evil one.

and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna; yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one.

nor is he served by human hands because he needs anything. Rather it is he who gives to everyone life and breath and everything.

And in the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they shall be called children of the living God.”

For what mortal has heard the voice of the living God speaking from the midst of fire, as we have, and lived?

For they themselves openly declare about us what sort of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God

For our God is a consuming fire.

all good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world now belongs to our Lord and to his Anointed, and he will reign forever and ever.”

the twenty-four elders fall down before the one who sits on the throne and worship him, who lives forever and ever. They throw down their crowns before the throne, exclaiming:

The four living creatures answered, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

David now said to the men standing near him: “How will the man who kills this Philistine and frees Israel from disgrace be rewarded? Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should insult the armies of the living God?”

Your servant has killed both a lion and a bear. This uncircumcised Philistine will be as one of them, because he has insulted the armies of the living God.”
