I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
Therefore I will again accuse you—oracle of the Lord— even your children’s children I will accuse.
He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of these least ones, you did not do for me.’
I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and an arrogant man, but I have been mercifully treated because I acted out of ignorance in my unbelief.
thus says the Lord: What fault did your ancestors find in me that they withdrew from me, Went after emptiness, and became empty themselves?
the Lord came and stood there, calling out as before: Samuel, Samuel! Samuel answered, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to look, God called out to him from the bush: Moses! Moses! He answered, “Here I am.”
But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, “Abraham, Abraham!” “Here I am,” he answered.
Some time afterward, God put Abraham to the test and said to him: Abraham! “Here I am!” he replied.
and he asked, “Hagar, maid of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going?” She answered, “I am running away from my mistress, Sarai.”
The Lord God then called to the man and asked him: Where are you?
But he said, “Why? What evil has he done?” They only shouted the louder, “Let him be crucified!”

“On that journey as I drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from the sky suddenly shone around me.
I replied, ‘Who are you, sir?’ And he said to me, ‘I am Jesus the Nazorean whom you are persecuting.’
