She began to follow Paul and us, shouting, “These people are slaves of the Most High God, who proclaim to you a way of salvation.”

He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the Way [of God] more accurately.

About that time a serious disturbance broke out concerning the Way.

But when some in their obstinacy and disbelief disparaged the Way before the assembly, he withdrew and took his disciples with him and began to hold daily discussions in the lecture hall of Tyrannus.

But this I do admit to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our ancestors and I believe everything that is in accordance with the law and written in the prophets.

They threw him out of the city, and began to stone him. The witnesses laid down their cloaks at the feet of a young man named Saul.

All who heard him were astounded and said, “Is not this the man who in Jerusalem ravaged those who call upon this name, and came here expressly to take them back in chains to the chief priests?”

For I am the least of the apostles, not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

For you heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it,

in zeal I persecuted the church, in righteousness based on the law I was blameless. Righteousness from God.

Many will follow their licentious ways, and because of them the way of truth will be reviled.
