Paul went down, threw himself upon him, and said as he embraced him, “Don’t be alarmed; there is life in him.”
So he went in and said to them, “Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep.”
When the Lord saw her, he was moved with pity for her and said to her, “Do not weep.”
He said this, and then told them, “Our friend Lazarus is asleep, but I am going to awaken him.”
Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?”
and a young man named Eutychus who was sitting on the window sill was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. Once overcome by sleep, he fell down from the third story and when he was picked up, he was dead.
