My belly is like unopened wine, like wineskins ready to burst.

I thought, “Let me climb the date-palm! Let me take hold of its branches! Let your breasts be like clusters of the vine and the fragrance of your breath like apples,

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will provide for all peoples A feast of rich food and choice wines, juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines.

Then Ephraim will be like a hero, and their hearts will be cheered as by wine. Their children will see and rejoice— their hearts will exult in the Lord.

The Lord of hosts will protect them; they will devour and conquer with sling stones, they will drink and become heated as with wine; they will be full like bowls—like the corners of the altar.

Then how good and how lovely! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the young women.

These people are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning.

So if the whole church meets in one place and everyone speaks in tongues, and then uninstructed people or unbelievers should come in, will they not say that you are out of your minds?

And do not get drunk on wine, in which lies debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

said to her, “How long will you make a drunken spectacle of yourself? Sober up from your wine!”
