When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. Amen, I say to you, you will not finish the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they cried out in Lycaonian, “The gods have come down to us in human form.”

At Lystra there was a crippled man, lame from birth, who had never walked.

After some time, Paul said to Barnabas, “Come, let us make a return visit to see how the brothers are getting on in all the cities where we proclaimed the word of the Lord.”

but their plot became known to Saul. Now they were keeping watch on the gates day and night so as to kill him,

persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet from all these things the Lord delivered me.
