So Paul got up, motioned with his hand, and said, “Fellow Israelites and you others who are God-fearing, listen.

“My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those others among you who are God-fearing, to us this word of salvation has been sent.

The Jews, however, incited the women of prominence who were worshipers and the leading men of the city, stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their territory.

If it is displeasing to you to serve the Lord, choose today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors served beyond the River or the gods of the Amorites in whose country you are dwelling. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Who will not fear you, Lord, or glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
