Acts 1:3

He presented himself alive to them by many proofs after he had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

He got up, ate, and drank; then strengthened by that food, he walked forty days and forty nights to the mountain of God, Horeb.

Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that will produce its fruit.

And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage.

[and] saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”

He fasted for forty days and forty nights, and afterwards he was hungry.

So then the Lord Jesus, after he spoke to them, was taken up into heaven and took his seat at the right hand of God.

Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”

After this, Jesus revealed himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself in this way.

This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead. Jesus and Peter.

and for many days he appeared to those who had come up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. These are [now] his witnesses before the people.

He entered the synagogue, and for three months debated boldly with persuasive arguments about the kingdom of God.

So they arranged a day with him and came to his lodgings in great numbers. From early morning until evening, he expounded his position to them, bearing witness to the kingdom of God and trying to convince them about Jesus from the law of Moses and the prophets.

and with complete assurance and without hindrance he proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.

but once they began to believe Philip as he preached the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, men and women alike were baptized.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of food and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the holy Spirit;

Then, as before, I lay prostrate before the Lord for forty days and forty nights; I ate no food, I drank no water, because of all the sin you had committed in the sight of the Lord, doing wrong and provoking him.

when I had gone up the mountain to receive the stone tablets of the covenant which the Lord made with you. Meanwhile I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights; I ate no food and drank no water.

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

exhorting and encouraging you and insisting that you conduct yourselves as worthy of the God who calls you into his kingdom and glory. Further Thanksgiving.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we looked upon and touched with our hands concerns the Word of life—
