Do not neglect the gift you have, which was conferred on you through the prophetic word with the imposition of hands of the presbyterate.

This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you; through them by way of reminder I am trying to stir up your sincere disposition,

proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching.

Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, even though you already know them and are established in the truth you have.
