The spirit of the Lord spoke through me; his word was on my tongue.

Now, my lord king, all Israel is looking to you to declare to them who is to sit upon the throne of my lord the king after him.

He said to them, “How, then, does David, inspired by the Spirit, call him ‘lord,’ saying:

David himself, inspired by the holy Spirit, said: ‘The Lord said to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I place your enemies under your feet.”’

for no prophecy ever came through human will; but rather human beings moved by the holy Spirit spoke under the influence of God.
