But after it had been brought there, the hand of the Lord was against the city, resulting in utter turmoil: the Lord afflicted its inhabitants, young and old, and tumors broke out on them.

The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he destroys.

The Lord gives aid to the poor, but casts the wicked to the ground.

no trace of the abundance will be found in the land because of the famine that follows it, for it will be very severe.
