He continued: “Why does my lord pursue his servant? What have I done? What evil am I planning?
Princes persecute me without reason, but my heart reveres only your word.
Without cause they set their snare for me; without cause they dug a pit for me.

Jeremiah then asked King Zedekiah: “How have I wronged you or your officials or this people, that you should put me in prison?
Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of these are you trying to stone me?”

Can any of you charge me with sin? If I am telling the truth, why do you not believe me?
