I will dwell in the midst of the Israelites and will not forsake my people Israel.

May the Lord, our God, be with us as he was with our ancestors and may he not forsake us nor cast us off.

No, it is not because of your justice or the integrity of your heart that you are going in to take possession of their land; but it is because of their wickedness that the Lord, your God, is dispossessing these nations before you and in order to fulfill the promise he made on oath to your ancestors, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”

When the Canaanites and the other inhabitants of the land hear of it, they will close in around us and efface our name from the earth. What will you do for your great name?”

But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises” of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
