For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit.

but established as Son of God in power according to the spirit of holiness through resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

who was handed over for our transgressions and was raised for our justification.

through whom we have gained access [by faith] to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.

If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you.

For what the law, weakened by the flesh, was powerless to do, this God has done: by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for the sake of sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,

Not that we lord it over your faith; rather, we work together for your joy, for you stand firm in the faith.

For indeed he was crucified out of weakness, but he lives by the power of God. So also we are weak in him, but toward you we shall live with him by the power of God.

For our sake he made him to be sin who did not know sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

who gave himself for our sins that he might rescue us from the present evil age in accord with the will of our God and Father,

Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who hangs on a tree,”

in whom we have boldness of speech and confidence of access through faith in him.

who gave himself for us to deliver us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people as his own, eager to do what is good.

By this “will,” we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to worship the living God.

if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly from the foundation of the world. But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by his sacrifice.

so also Christ, offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to take away sin but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.

You have condemned; you have murdered the righteous one; he offers you no resistance. Patience and Oaths.

In it he also went to preach to the spirits in prison,

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same attitude (for whoever suffers in the flesh has broken with sin),

For this is why the gospel was preached even to the dead that, though condemned in the flesh in human estimation, they might live in the spirit in the estimation of God. Christian Charity.

If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.
