There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.

She had an opportunity one day when Herod, on his birthday, gave a banquet for his courtiers, his military officers, and the leading men of Galilee.

A Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, an eloquent speaker, arrived in Ephesus. He was an authority on the scriptures.

While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul traveled through the interior of the country and came [down] to Ephesus where he found some disciples.

But as he spoke about righteousness and self-restraint and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and said, “You may go for now; when I find an opportunity I shall summon you again.”

I mean that each of you is saying, “I belong to Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.”

Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or the present or the future: all belong to you,

What is Apollos, after all, and what is Paul? Ministers through whom you became believers, just as the Lord assigned each one.

Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey soon, and see to it that they have everything they need.
