For thisis the wordof promise:"AT THISTIMEI WILL COME,AND SARAHSHALL HAVEA SON."
He said,"I will surelyreturnto you at this timenextyear;and behold,Sarahyour wifewill have a son."And Sarahwas listeningat the tentdoor,whichwas behindhim.
"Is anythingtoodifficultfor the LORD?At the appointedtimeI will returnto you, at thistimenextyear,and Sarahwill have a son."
"But My covenantI will establishwith Isaac,whomSarahwill bearto you at thisseasonnextyear."
So Sarahconceivedand borea sonto Abrahamin his oldage,at the appointedtimeof whichGodhad spokento him.
By faithAbraham,when he was tested,offeredup Isaac,and he who had receivedthe promiseswas offeringup his only begotten[son];
