But Godsaidto Abraham,"Do not be distressedbecauseof the ladand your maid;whateverSarahtellsyou, listento her, for throughIsaacyour descendantsshall be named.
and do not supposethat you can sayto yourselves,We haveAbrahamfor our father;for I sayto you that from thesestonesGodis ableto raiseup childrento Abraham.
"But he said,'No,fatherAbraham,but ifsomeonegoesto them from the dead,they will repent!'
"Thereforebearfruitsin keepingwith repentance,and do not beginto sayto yourselves,We haveAbrahamfor our father,'for I sayto you that from thesestonesGodis ableto raiseup childrento Abraham.
They answeredHim, "We are Abraham'sdescendantsand have neveryetbeen enslavedto anyone;howis it that You say,'You will becomefree'?"
But the son by the bondwomanwas bornaccordingto the flesh,and the son by the free womanthroughthe promise.
And you brethren,likeIsaac,are childrenof promise.
for we are the [true] circumcision,who worshipin the Spiritof Godand gloryin ChristJesusand putnoconfidencein the flesh,
