So thenit [does] not [depend] on the man who willsorthe man who runs,but on Godwho has mercy.
Your peoplewill volunteerfreelyin the dayof Your power;In holyarray,from the wombof the dawn,Your youthare to You [as] the dew.
"I permitted Myself to be soughtby those who did not ask[for Me]; I permitted Myself to be foundby those who did not seekMe. I said,'Heream I, heream I,' To a nationwhich did not callon My name.
"All thingshave been handed overto Me by My Father;and no oneknowsthe Sonexceptthe Father;nordoes anyoneknowthe Fatherexceptthe Son,and anyone to whomthe Sonwillsto reveal[Him].
Again,the deviltookHim to a veryhighmountainand showedHim allthe kingdomsof the worldand their glory;
At that verytimeHe rejoiced greatlyin the HolySpirit,and said,"I praiseYou, O Father,Lordof heavenand earth,that You have hiddenthese thingsfrom [the] wiseand intelligentand have revealedthem to infants.Yes,Father,for this waywas well-pleasingin Your sight.
"The windblowswhereit wishesand you hearthe soundof it, but do not knowwhereit comesfrom and whereit is going;sois everyonewho is bornof the Spirit."
for though [the twins] were not yetbornand had not doneanythinggoodorbad,sothat God'spurposeaccordingto [His] choicewould stand,not becauseof worksbut becauseof Him who calls,
It was becauseof a revelationthat I wentup; and I submittedto them the gospelwhichI preachamongthe Gentiles,but [I did so] in privateto thosewho were of reputation,for fearthat I might be running,orhad run,in vain.
For by graceyou have been savedthroughfaith;and that not of yourselves,[it is] the giftof God;
for it is Godwho is at workin you, bothto willand to workfor [His] good pleasure.
In the exercise of His willHe brought us forthby the wordof truth,sothat we would be a kindof first fruitsamong His creatures.
