He saysto himself,"Godhas forgotten;He has hiddenHis face;He will neverseeit."
They say,"Howdoes Godknow?And is thereknowledgewith the MostHigh?"
The heartof the righteouspondershow to answer,But the mouthof the wickedpoursout evilthings.
Thereis one who speaksrashlylike the thrustsof a sword,But the tongueof the wisebringshealing.
His speechwas smootherthanbutter,But his heartwas war;His wordswere softerthanoil,Yet they were drawnswords.
Whyhas the wickedspurnedGod?He has saidto himself,"You will not require[it]."
"You broodof vipers,howcanyou, beingevil,speakwhat is good?For the mouthspeaksout of that which fillsthe heart.
"Have you not observedwhatthispeoplehave spoken,saying,The twofamilieswhichthe LORDchose,He has rejectedthem'? Thus they despiseMy people,nolongerare they as a nationin their sight.
They pourforth[words], they speakarrogantly;Allwho dowickednessvauntthemselves.
The lipsof my assailantsand their whispering[Are] againstme alldaylong.
