who devourwidows'houses,and for appearance's sakeofferlongprayers;thesewill receivegreatercondemnation."
But they did not understandthisstatement,and it was concealedfrom them sothat they would not perceiveit; and they were afraidto askHim aboutthisstatement.
But Jesussaidto him, "Do not hinder[him]; for he whois not againstyou is for you."
Whatthen?Are we betterthan they? Not at all;for we have already chargedthat bothJewsand Greeksare allundersin;
Whatthen?Shall we sinbecausewe are not underlawbut undergrace?May it neverbe!
Whatdo I meanthen?That a thing sacrificed to idolsis anything,orthat an idolis anything?
Whatis [the outcome] then?I will praywith the spiritand I will praywith the mindalso;I will singwith the spiritand I will singwith the mindalso.
Whetherthen[it was] I orthey, sowe preachand soyou believed.
