Thenthe devilleftHim; and behold,angelscameand [began] to ministerto Him.
Then he lookedand behold,there was at his heada breadcake[baked on] hotstones,and a jarof water.So he ateand drankand laydownagain.
"Ordo you thinkthat I cannotappealto My Father,and He will at onceput at My disposalmorethan twelvelegionsof angels?
and saidto Him, "IfYou are the Sonof God,throwYourselfdown;for it is written,HE WILL COMMANDHIS ANGELSCONCERNINGYOU'; and 'ON [their] HANDSTHEY WILL BEARYOU UP, SOTHAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKEYOUR FOOTAGAINSTA STONE.'"
And He was in the wildernessfortydaysbeing temptedby Satan;and He was with the wild beasts,and the angelswere ministeringto Him.
Nowan angelfrom heavenappearedto Him, strengtheningHim.
"While I was with you dailyin the temple,you did not layhandson Me; but thishourand the powerof darknessare yours."
When the devilhad finishedeverytemptation,he leftHim untilan opportune time.
"I will not speakmuchmorewith you, for the rulerof the worldis coming,and he hasnothingin Me;
By common confession,greatis the mysteryof godliness:He whowas revealedin the flesh,Was vindicatedin the Spirit,Seenby angels,Proclaimedamongthe nations,Believedon in the world,Takenup in glory.
Are they not allministeringspirits,sentout to render servicefor the sakeof thosewho willinheritsalvation?
And whenHe againbringsthe firstborninto the world,He says,"AND LET ALLTHE ANGELSOF GODWORSHIPHIM."
