From that timeJesusbeganto showHis disciplesthat He mustgoto Jerusalem,and suffermany thingsfrom the eldersand chief priestsand scribes,and be killed,and be raisedup on the thirdday.
And He answeredand said,"Elijahis comingand will restoreall things;
Thenthe disciplesunderstoodthat He had spokento them aboutJohnthe Baptist.
And while they were gathering togetherin Galilee,Jesussaidto them, "The Sonof Manis goingto be deliveredinto the handsof men;
As they were coming downfrom the mountain,Jesuscommandedthem, saying, "Tellthe visionto no oneuntilthe Sonof Manhas risenfrom the dead."
"For Johncameto you in the wayof righteousnessand you did not believehim; but the tax collectorsand prostitutesdid believehim; and you, seeing[this], did not evenfeel remorseafterwardso as to believehim.
Jesussaidto him, "The foxeshaveholesand the birdsof the air[have] nests,but the Sonof Manhasnowhereto layHis head."
"For Johnthe Baptisthas comeeatingnobreadand drinkingnowine,and you say,'He hasa demon!'
He cameto His own,and thosewho were His owndid not receiveHim.
this[Man], deliveredover by the predeterminedplanand foreknowledgeof God,you nailed to a crossby the handsof godless menand put [Him] to death.
let it be knownto allof you and to allthe peopleof Israel,that by the nameof JesusChristthe Nazarene,whomyou crucified,whomGodraisedfrom the dead--by this [name] this manstands herebeforeyou in good health.
