"I have heardthe grumblingsof the sonsof Israel;speakto them, saying,At twilightyou shall eatmeat,and in the morningyou shall be filledwith bread;and you shall knowthat I am the LORDyour God.'"
Mosessaid,"[This will happen] when the LORDgivesyou meatto eatin the evening,and breadto the fullin the morning;for the LORDhearsyour grumblingswhichyou grumbleagainstHim. And whatare we? Your grumblingsare not againstus but againstthe LORD."
The righteoushasenoughto satisfyhis appetite,But the stomachof the wickedis in need.
When I breakyour staffof bread,tenwomenwill bakeyour breadin oneoven,and they will bringbackyour breadin rationedamounts,so that you will eatand not be satisfied.
"You have sownmuch,but harvestlittle;[you] eat,but [there is] not [enough] to be satisfied;[you] drink,but [there is] not [enough] to becomedrunk;[you] puton clothing,but nooneis warm[enough]; and he who earns,earnswages[to put] into a pursewith holes."
There were aboutfive thousandmenwho ate,besideswomenand children.
The disciplessaidto Him, "Wherewould we get somanyloavesin [this] desolate placeto satisfysucha largecrowd?"
"Blessedare thosewho hungerand thirstfor righteousness,for they shall be satisfied.
"HE HAS FILLEDTHE HUNGRYWITH GOOD THINGS;And sent awaythe richempty-handed.
And they allateand were satisfied;and the broken pieceswhich they had left overwere pickedup, twelvebaskets[full].
