"Have you understoodallthese things?"They saidto Him, "Yes."
Jesus answeredthem, "To you it has been grantedto knowthe mysteriesof the kingdomof heaven,but to them it has not been granted.
"When anyonehearsthe wordof the kingdomand does not understandit, the evil[one] comesand snatches awaywhathas been sownin his heart.Thisis the one on whom seed was sownbesidethe road.
and will throwthem into the furnaceof fire;in that place therewill be weepingand gnashingof teeth.
And Jesus saidto them, "Thereforeeveryscribewho has become a discipleof the kingdomof heavenis likea head of a household,whobringsout of his treasurethings newand old."
"Do you not understandthat everythingthat goesinto the mouthpassesinto the stomach,and is eliminated?
"Howis it that you do not understandthat I did not speakto you concerningbread?But bewareof the leavenof the Phariseesand Sadducees."
"Thereforewhenyou seethe ABOMINATIONOF DESOLATIONwhich was spokenof throughDanielthe prophet,standingin the holyplace(let the readerunderstand),
and He did not speakto them withouta parable;but He was explainingeverythingprivatelyto His owndisciples.
And He saidto them, "Are you solacking in understandingalso?Do you not understandthat whatevergoesinto the manfrom outsidecannotdefilehim,
And we knowthat the Sonof Godhas come,and has givenus understandingsothat we may knowHim whois true;and we are in Him who is true,in His SonJesusChrist.Thisis the true Godand eternallife.
