[thus] invalidatingthe wordof Godby your traditionwhichyou have handed down;and you domany thingssuchas that."
To the lawand to the testimony!Ifthey do not speakaccording to thisword,it is becausethey havenodawn.
"Now behold,he hasa sonwho has observedallhis father'ssinswhichhe committed,and observingdoes not dolikewise.
Though I wrotefor him tenthousand[precepts] of My law,They are regardedas a strangething.
he is not to honorhis fatherorhis mother.' And [by this] you invalidatedthe wordof Godfor the sakeof your tradition.
you no longerpermithim to doanythingfor [his] fatheror[his] mother;
After He calledthe crowdto Him again,He [began] sayingto them, "Listento Me, allof you, and understand:
(For the Phariseesand allthe Jewsdo not eatunlessthey carefullywashtheir hands,[thus] observingthe traditionsof the elders;
The Phariseesand the scribesaskedHim, "Whydo Your disciplesnot walkaccordingto the traditionof the elders,but eattheir breadwith impurehands?"
He was alsosayingto them, "You are expertsat setting asidethe commandmentof Godin orderto keepyour tradition.
and I was advancingin Judaismbeyondmanyof my contemporariesamongmy countrymen,beingmore extremelyzealousfor my ancestraltraditions.
envying,drunkenness,carousing,and things likethese,of whichI forewarnyou, justas I have forewarnedyou, that thosewho practicesuch thingswill not inheritthe kingdomof God.
not paying attentionto Jewishmythsand commandmentsof menwho turn awayfrom the truth.
