Answeringthem, He said,"Whoare My motherand My brothers?"
When His own people heard[of] [this], they wentout to take custodyof Him; for they were saying,"He has lost His senses."
A crowdwas sittingaroundHim, and they saidto Him, "Behold,Your motherand Your brothersare outsidelookingfor You."
Looking aboutat thosewho were sittingaroundHim, He said,"BeholdMy motherand My brothers!
"Is not thisthe carpenter,the sonof Mary,and brotherof Jamesand Josesand Judasand Simon?Are not His sistersherewith us?" And they took offenseat Him.
And He saidto them, "Whyis it that you were lookingfor Me? Did you not knowthat I hadto be in My Father's[house]?"
And Jesussaidto her, "Woman,whatdoes that have to do with us? My hourhasnot yetcome."
Thereforefrom nowon we recognizeno oneaccordingto the flesh;eventhoughwe have knownChristaccordingto the flesh,yetnowwe know[Him] [in this way] no longer.
Who saidof his fatherand his mother,'I did not considerthem'; And he did not acknowledgehis brothers,Nordid he regardhis own sons,For they observedYour word,And keptYour covenant.
