"Thereforebearfruitsin keepingwith repentance,and do not beginto sayto yourselves,We haveAbrahamfor our father,'for I sayto you that from thesestonesGodis ableto raiseup childrento Abraham.
"Please,givebackto them this very daytheir fields,their vineyards,their olivegrovesand their houses,also the hundredth[part] of the moneyand of the grain,the newwineand the oilthat you are exactingfrom them."
"Sonof man,they who livein thesewasteplacesin the landof Israelare saying,Abrahamwas [only] one,yet he possessedthe land;so to us whoare manythe landhas been givenas a possession.'
"ThereforeI sayto you, the kingdomof Godwill be taken awayfrom you and givento a people,producingthe fruitof it.
"Thereforebearfruitin keepingwith repentance;
and do not supposethat you can sayto yourselves,We haveAbrahamfor our father;for I sayto you that from thesestonesGodis ableto raiseup childrento Abraham.
"Oncethe head of the housegetsup and shutsthe door,and you beginto standoutsideand knockon the door,saying,Lord,openup to us!' thenHe will answerand sayto you, 'I do not knowwhereyou are from.'
"Thenyou will beginto say,'We ateand drankin Your presence,and You taughtin our streets';
and he who invitedyou bothwill comeand sayto you, 'Give[your] placeto this man,'and thenin disgraceyou proceedto occupythe lastplace.
But Jesus answered,"I tellyou, ifthesebecome silent,the stoneswill cryout!"
And Jesussaidto him, "Todaysalvationhas cometo thishouse,becausehe, too,is a sonof Abraham.
The scribesand the Phariseesbeganto reason,saying,"Whois this[man] whospeaksblasphemies?Whocanforgivesins,but Godalone?"
They answeredHim, "We are Abraham'sdescendantsand have neveryetbeen enslavedto anyone;howis it that You say,'You will becomefree'?"
They answeredand saidto Him, "Abrahamis our father."Jesussaidto them, "Ifyou are Abraham'schildren,dothe deedsof Abraham.
but [kept] declaringbothto thoseof Damascusfirst,and [also] at Jerusalemand [then] throughout allthe regionof Judea,and [even] to the Gentiles,that they should repentand turnto God,performingdeedsappropriateto repentance.
For thisreason[it is] by faith,in orderthat [it may be] in accordancewith grace,sothat the promisewill be guaranteedto allthe descendants,not onlyto thosewho are of the Law,but alsoto thosewho are of the faithof Abraham,whois the fatherof us all,
norare they allchildrenbecausethey are Abraham'sdescendants,but: "THROUGHISAACYOUR DESCENDANTSWILL BE NAMED."
having been filledwith the fruitof righteousnesswhich [comes] throughJesusChrist,to the gloryand praiseof God.
