And he was saying,"Jesus,rememberme whenYou comein Your kingdom!"
"But as for Me, I have installedMy KingUpon Zion,My holymountain."
"And I sayto you, everyonewhoconfessesMe beforemen,the Sonof Manwill confesshim alsobeforethe angelsof God;
"But the tax collector,standingsome distance away,was evenunwillingto liftup his eyesto heaven,but was beatinghis breast,saying,'God,be mercifulto me, the sinner!'
"And we indeed[are suffering] justly,for we are receivingwhatwe deservefor our deeds;but this manhas donenothingwrong."
And He saidto him, "TrulyI sayto you, todayyou shall be with Me in Paradise."
"Was it not necessaryfor the Christto sufferthese thingsand to enterinto His glory?"
NathanaelansweredHim, "Rabbi,You are the Sonof God;You are the Kingof Israel."
Thomasansweredand saidto Him, "My Lordand my God!"
They said,"Believein the LordJesus,and you will be saved,you and your household."
solemnly testifyingto bothJewsand Greeksof repentancetowardGodand faithin our LordJesusChrist.
seeking to knowwhatpersonortimethe Spiritof Christwithinthem was indicatingas He predictedthe sufferingsof Christand the gloriesto follow.
Whoeverbelievesthat Jesusis the Christis bornof God,and whoeverlovesthe Fatherlovesthe [child] bornof Him.
