They questionedHim, saying,"Teacher,whenthereforewill these thingshappen?And what[will be] the signwhenthese thingsare aboutto take place?"
And one saidto the mandressedin linen,whowas abovethe watersof the river,"Howlong[will it be] untilthe endof [these] wonders?"
As for me, I heardbut could not understand;so I said,"My lord,what[will be] the outcomeof these[events]?"
As He was sittingon the Mountof Olives,the disciplescameto Him privately,saying, "Tellus, whenwill these thingshappen,and what[will be] the signof Your coming,and of the endof the age?"
"But whenyou seethe ABOMINATIONOF DESOLATIONstandingwhereit shouldnot be (let the readerunderstand),thenthosewhoare in Judeamust fleeto the mountains.
"TrulyI sayto you, thisgenerationwill not pass awayuntilall thingstake place.
"[As for] these thingswhichyou are lookingat, the dayswill comein whichthere will not be leftone stoneupon anotherwhichwill not be torn down."
And He said,"Seeto it that you are not misled;for manywill comein My name,saying,I am[He],' and, 'The timeis near.'Do not goafterthem.
