And He beganto tellthe peoplethisparable:"A manplanteda vineyardand rentedit out to vine-growers,and went on a journeyfor a longtime.
"Yet I plantedyou a choicevine,A completelyfaithfulseed.Howthen have you turnedyourself before Me Into the degenerateshoots of a foreignvine?
"For [it is] just likea man[about] to go on a journey,who calledhis ownslavesand entrustedhis possessionsto them.
SoHe said,"A noblemanwentto a distantcountryto receivea kingdomfor himself,and [then] return.
"At the [harvest] timehe senta slaveto the vine-growers,sothat they would givehim [some] of the produceof the vineyard;but the vine-growersbeathim and sent him awayempty-handed.
And Jesussaidto them, "Norwill I tellyou by whatauthorityI dothese things."
"You shall appointfor yourself judgesand officersin allyour townswhichthe LORDyour Godis givingyou, according to your tribes,and they shall judgethe peoplewith righteousjudgment.
