And He saidto them, "Whoselikenessand inscriptionis this?"
They brought[one]. And He saidto them, "Whoselikenessand inscriptionis this?"And they saidto Him, "Caesar's."
Nowin thosedaysa decreewentout from CaesarAugustus,that a census be takenof allthe inhabited earth.
"Is it lawfulfor us to paytaxesto Caesar,ornot?"
But He detectedtheir trickeryand saidto them,
And He saidto them, "Thenrenderto Caesarthe things that are Caesar's,and to Godthe things that are God's."
And they beganto accuseHim, saying,"We foundthis manmisleadingour nationand forbiddingto paytaxesto Caesar,and sayingthat He Himselfis Christ,a King."

And Agrippasaidto Festus,"Thismanmighthave beenset freeifhe had not appealedto Caesar."
