And Jesussaidto him, "Todaysalvationhas cometo thishouse,becausehe, too,is a sonof Abraham.
"And this woman,a daughterof Abrahamas she is, whomSatanhas boundfor eighteenlongyears,shouldshe not have been releasedfrom thisbondon the Sabbathday?"
"And behold,[some] are lastwhowill be firstand [some] are firstwhowill be last."
"And he criedout and said,FatherAbraham,have mercyon me, and sendLazarussothat he may dipthe tipof his fingerin waterand cooloff my tongue,for I am in agonyin thisflame.'
"But he said,'No,fatherAbraham,but ifsomeonegoesto them from the dead,they will repent!'
For my eyeshave seenYour salvation,
"Thereforebearfruitsin keepingwith repentance,and do not beginto sayto yourselves,We haveAbrahamfor our father,'for I sayto you that from thesestonesGodis ableto raiseup childrento Abraham.
For thisreason[it is] by faith,in orderthat [it may be] in accordancewith grace,sothat the promisewill be guaranteedto allthe descendants,not onlyto thosewho are of the Law,but alsoto thosewho are of the faithof Abraham,whois the fatherof us all,
in orderthat in ChristJesusthe blessingof Abrahammight cometo the Gentiles,sothat we would receivethe promiseof the Spiritthroughfaith.
And ifyou belong to Christ,thenyou are Abraham'sdescendants,heirsaccordingto promise.
Therefore,be surethat it is thosewho are of faithwhoare sonsof Abraham.
for you oncewere NOT A PEOPLE,but nowyou are THE PEOPLEOF GOD;you had NOT RECEIVEDMERCY,but nowyou have RECEIVED MERCY.
