and from insidehe answersand says,'Do not botherme; the doorhas alreadybeen shutand my childrenand I are in bed;I cannotgetup and giveyou [anything].'
"I have takenoffmy dress,Howcan I putit on [again]? I have washedmy feet,Howcan I dirtythem [again]?
"And while they were going awayto make the purchase,the bridegroomcame,and thosewho were readywentin with him to the wedding feast;and the doorwas shut.
for a friendof minehas cometo me from a journey,and I havenothingto set beforehim';
"I tellyou, eventhoughhe will not getup and givehim [anything] becausehe is his friend,yetbecauseof his persistencehe will getup and givehim as muchas he needs.
"Oncethe head of the housegetsup and shutsthe door,and you beginto standoutsideand knockon the door,saying,Lord,openup to us!' thenHe will answerand sayto you, 'I do not knowwhereyou are from.'
NowJesus[started] on His waywith them; and when He was not farfrom the house,the centurionsentfriends,sayingto Him, "Lord,do not troubleYourself further, for I amnot worthyfor You to comeundermy roof;
From nowon let no onecausetroublefor me, for I bearon my bodythe brand-marksof Jesus.
