But the Lordansweredand saidto her, "Martha,Martha,you are worriedand botheredaboutso many things;
For thereare manywordswhich increasefutility.What[then] is the advantageto a man?
but the worriesof the world,and the deceitfulnessof riches,and the desiresfor other thingsenterin and chokethe word,and it becomesunfruitful.
Nowas they were travelingalong, He entereda village;and a womannamedMarthawelcomedHim into her home.
But Marthawas distractedwith allher preparations;and she cameup [to Him] and said,"Lord,do You not carethat my sisterhas leftme to do all the servingalone?Thentellher to helpme."
And He saidto His disciples,"For thisreasonI sayto you, do not worryabout[your] life,[as to] whatyou will eat;norfor your body,[as to] whatyou will puton.
"Be on guard,sothat your heartswill not be weighted downwith dissipationand drunkennessand the worriesof life,and that daywill not comeon you suddenlylikea trap;
"The [seed] which fellamongthe thorns,theseare the ones who have heard,and as they go on their waythey are chokedwith worriesand richesand pleasuresof [this] life,and bringnofruit to maturity.
Nowa certain manwas sick,Lazarusof Bethany,the villageof Maryand her sisterMartha.
NowJesuslovedMarthaand her sisterand Lazarus.
Sothey madeHim a supperthere,and Marthawas serving;but Lazaruswas oneof thosereclining[at the] [table] with Him.
Be anxiousfor nothing,but in everythingby prayerand supplicationwith thanksgivinglet your requestsbe made knownto God.
