Sihon,kingof the Amorites,And Og,kingof Bashan,And allthe kingdomsof Canaan;
The mountainswere coveredwith its shadow,And the cedarsof Godwith its boughs.
You cleared[the ground] beforeit, And it tookdeeprootand filledthe land.
"I will sendhornetsaheadof you so that they will driveout the Hivites,the Canaanites,and the Hittitesbeforeyou.
"I will fixyour boundaryfrom the RedSeato the seaof the Philistines,and from the wildernessto the River[Euphrates]; for I will deliverthe inhabitantsof the landinto your hand,and you will drivethem out beforeyou.
Thus Israellivedin the landof the Amorites.
Mosessentto spyout Jazer,and they capturedits villagesand dispossessedthe Amoriteswho[were] there.
"The LORDwill doto them justas He didto Sihonand Og,the kingsof the Amorites,and to their land,whenHe destroyedthem.
acrossthe Jordan,in the valleyoppositeBeth-peor,in the landof Sihonkingof the Amoriteswholivedat Heshbon,whomMosesand the sonsof Israeldefeatedwhen they cameout from Egypt.
They tookpossessionof his landand the landof Ogkingof Bashan,the twokingsof the Amorites,[who were] acrossthe Jordanto the east,
"Moreover,the LORDyour Godwill sendthe hornetagainst them, untilthose who are leftand hidethemselves from you perish.
"For we have heardhowthe LORDdriedup the waterof the RedSeabeforeyou when you cameout of Egypt,and whatyou didto the twokingsof the Amoriteswhowere beyondthe Jordan,to Sihonand Og,whomyou utterlydestroyed.
