Then the daughtersof Zelophehad,the sonof Hepher,the sonof Gilead,the sonof Machir,the sonof Manasseh,of the familiesof Manassehthe sonof Joseph,camenear;and theseare the namesof his daughters:Mahlah,Noahand Hoglahand Milcahand Tirzah.
"Whyshould the nameof our fatherbe withdrawnfrom amonghis familybecausehe hadnoson?Giveus a possessionamongour father'sbrothers."
Justas the LORDhad commandedMoses,sothe daughtersof Zelophehaddid:
Thereis neitherJewnorGreek,thereis neitherslavenorfree man,thereis neithermalenorfemale;for you are allonein ChristJesus.
Now theseare [the territories] whichthe sonsof Israelinheritedin the landof Canaan,whichEleazarthe priest,and Joshuathe sonof Nun,and the headsof the householdsof the tribesof the sonsof Israelapportionedto them for an inheritance,
Thus there felltenportionsto Manasseh,besidesthe landof Gileadand Bashan,whichis beyondthe Jordan,
Then the headsof householdsof the LevitesapproachedEleazarthe priest,and Joshuathe sonof Nun,and the headsof householdsof the tribesof the sonsof Israel.
