Jesusansweredthem, "I toldyou, and you do not believe;the worksthat I doin My Father'sname,thesetestifyof Me.
"I knowthat you are Abraham'sdescendants;yetyou seekto killMe, becauseMy wordhasnoplacein you.
They answeredand saidto Him, "Abrahamis our father."Jesussaidto them, "Ifyou are Abraham'schildren,dothe deedsof Abraham.
Allthesediedin faith,withoutreceivingthe promises,but having seenthem and having welcomedthem from a distance,and having confessedthat they were strangersand exileson the earth.
And allthese,having gained approvalthroughtheir faith,did not receivewhat was promised,
