SoJesussaid,"Whenyou liftup the Sonof Man,thenyou will knowthat I am[He], and I donothingon My own initiative,but I speakthese thingsas the FathertaughtMe.
Godsaidto Moses,"I AMWHOI AM";and He said,"Thusyou shall sayto the sonsof Israel,I AMhas sentme to you.'"
"For manywill comein My name,saying,'I amthe Christ,'and will misleadmany.
"Manywill comein My name,saying,I am[He!]' and will misleadmany.
And He said,"Seeto it that you are not misled;for manywill comein My name,saying,I am[He],' and, 'The timeis near.'Do not goafterthem.
"I knewthat You alwayshearMe; but becauseof the peoplestanding aroundI saidit, sothat they may believethat You sentMe."
"From nowon I am tellingyou before[it] comesto pass,sothat whenit does occur,you may believethat I am[He].
and concerningrighteousness,becauseI goto the Fatherand you no longerseeMe;
to fulfillthe wordof JesuswhichHe spoke,signifyingby what kindof deathHe was aboutto die.
Therethey crucifiedHim, and with Him twoother men,one on eitherside,and Jesusin between.
"Truly,truly,I sayto you, we speakof whatwe knowand testifyof whatwe have seen,and you do not acceptour testimony.
"As Mosesliftedup the serpentin the wilderness,even somustthe Sonof Manbe liftedup;
Jesussaidto her, "I who speakto you am[He]."
ThereforeJesusansweredand was sayingto them, "Truly,truly,I sayto you, the Soncandonothingof Himself,unless[it is] somethingHe seesthe Fatherdoing;for whateverthe Fatherdoes,these thingsthe Sonalsodoesin like manner.
"I candonothingon My own initiative.As I hear,I judge;and My judgmentis just,becauseI do not seekMy ownwill,but the willof Him who sentMe.
"For I have come downfrom heaven,not to doMy ownwill,but the willof Him who sentMe.
"ThereforeI saidto you that you will diein your sins;for unlessyou believethat I am[He], you will diein your sins."
They did not realizethat He had been speakingto them about the Father.
Jesussaidto them, "Truly,truly,I sayto you, beforeAbrahamwas born,I am."
So then,thosewho had receivedhis wordwere baptized;and that daythere were addedaboutthree thousandsouls.
But manyof thosewho had heardthe messagebelieved;and the numberof the mencameto be aboutfivethousand.

I will raiseup a prophetfrom amongtheir countrymenlikeyou, and I will putMy wordsin his mouth,and he shall speakto them allthat I commandhim.
