Jesussaidto him, "IfI wanthim to remainuntilI come,what[is that] to you? You followMe!"
And Jesus was sayingto them, "TrulyI sayto you, there are someof thosewho are standingherewhowill not tastedeathuntilthey seethe kingdomof Godafter it has comewith power."
Neverthelesswhatyou have,hold fastuntilI come.
Thereforedo not go on passing judgmentbeforethe time,[but wait] untilthe Lordcomeswhowill bothbring to lightthe things hiddenin the darknessand disclosethe motivesof [men's] hearts;and theneach man'spraisewill cometo him from God.
I am comingquickly;hold fastwhatyou have,sothat no onewill takeyour crown.
Thereforebe patient,brethren,untilthe comingof the Lord.The farmerwaitsfor the preciousproduceof the soil,being patientaboutit, untilit getsthe earlyand laterains.
For as oftenas you eatthisbreadand drinkthe cup,you proclaimthe Lord'sdeathuntilHe comes.
NowthisHe said,signifyingby what kindof deathhe would glorifyGod.And when He had spokenthis,He saidto him, "FollowMe!"
"For thisreasonyou alsomust be ready;for the Sonof Manis comingat an hourwhenyou do not think[He will].
He who testifiesto these thingssays,"Yes,I am comingquickly."Amen.Come,LordJesus.
"And behold,I am comingquickly.Blessedis he who heedsthe wordsof the prophecyof thisbook."
BEHOLD,HE IS COMINGWITH THE CLOUDS,and everyeyewill seeHim, eventhose whopiercedHim; and allthe tribesof the earthwill mournoverHim. Soit is to be. Amen.
"But whenthe Sonof Mancomesin His glory,and allthe angelswith Him, thenHe will siton His gloriousthrone.
"For justas the lightningcomesfrom the eastand flashesevento the west,sowill the comingof the Sonof Manbe.
As He was sittingon the Mountof Olives,the disciplescameto Him privately,saying, "Tellus, whenwill these thingshappen,and what[will be] the signof Your coming,and of the endof the age?"
But Jesussaidto him, "FollowMe, and allowthe deadto burytheir owndead."
ThenJesussaidto His disciples,"Ifanyonewishesto comeafterMe, he must denyhimself,and takeup his crossand followMe.
SoPeterseeinghim saidto Jesus,"Lord,and whatabout this man?"
For whois our hopeorjoyorcrownof exultation?Is it not evenyou, in the presenceof our LordJesusat His coming?
You toobe patient;strengthenyour hearts,for the comingof the Lordis near.
