Jesussaidto him, "Becauseyou have seenMe, have you believed?Blessed[are] they who did not see,and [yet] believed."
"But blessedare your eyes,becausethey see;and your ears,becausethey hear.
"And blessed[is] she who believedthat there would be a fulfillmentof what had been spokento her by the Lord."
Thomasansweredand saidto Him, "My Lordand my God!"
Sothe otherdisciplewho had firstcometo the tombthenalsoentered,and he sawand believed.
SoJesussaidto him, "Unlessyou [people] seesignsand wonders,you [simply] will not believe."
for we walkby faith,not by sight--
Nowfaithis the assuranceof [things] hopedfor, the convictionof thingsnot seen.
By faithhe leftEgypt,not fearingthe wrathof the king;for he endured,as seeingHim who is unseen.
And allthese,having gained approvalthroughtheir faith,did not receivewhat was promised,
and though you have not seenHim, you loveHim, and though you do not seeHim now,but believein Him, you greatly rejoicewith joyinexpressibleand full of glory,
