Nowit was the day of preparationfor the Passover;it was aboutthe sixthhour.And he saidto the Jews,"Behold,your King!"
Nowfrom the sixthhourdarknessfellupon allthe landuntilthe ninthhour.
Nowon the next day, the dayafterthe preparation,the chief priestsand the Phariseesgathered togetherwith Pilate,
It was the thirdhourwhenthey crucifiedHim.
When eveninghad alreadycome,becauseit was the preparation day,that is, the day before the Sabbath,
It was nowaboutthe sixthhour,and darknessfelloverthe wholelanduntilthe ninthhour,
It was the preparationday,and the Sabbathwas about to begin.
and they [began] to comeup to Him and say,"Hail,Kingof the Jews!"and to giveHim slaps[in the face].
Thereforebecauseof the Jewishday of preparation,sincethe tombwas nearby,they laidJesusthere.
Jesusthencameout, wearingthe crownof thornsand the purplerobe.[Pilate] saidto them, "Behold,the Man!"
